Description: The purpose of this required course is to provide learners with an overview of their role in ensuring all Personal Services Contractors (PSCs) at overseas posts receive the requisite background security investigation from the Embassy Regional Security Office and the process for uploading and tracking this documentation in OdyWeb.
As a result of completing this course, the learner will be able to:
- Recognize the roles and responsibilities of post staff in ensuring all PSCs receive and remain up to date on required security clearances
- Recap the overseas clearance/security certification process for PSCs
- Identify the background certification documents required to be uploaded to the OdyWeb security application
- Describe the requirements for certification approval from the Office of Safety and Security (OSS)
