Materials and resources for Volunteers at the close of their service
It is an introductory course on fundamental concepts of Project Design and Management (PDM). This course will give PCVs a holistic overview of the community project cycle and the key steps needed to prepare for launching and implementing a project in their local community. The course will pay particular attention to the asset-based approach to needs assessment and its application at your site. As PCVs complete course assignments, they will learn how to formulate the project's goals and objectives by engaging with their counterparts, taking ideas for development, and turning them into practical realities.
This course is mandatory for Peace Corps Volunteers during the first three months at the site. It serves as a prerequisite to a regional PDM workshop conducted for Volunteers and their Counterparts during the first 4-5 months of Volunteer service.
